  • Be within 4 weeks of their 21st birthday.
  • Pass a background check (including motor vehicle and criminal checks).
  • Pass a Department of Transportation drug test, physical exam, and ergonomics test.
  • Have completed one of Job Corps’ basic career technical training programs.
  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Have a valid driver’s license with at least 18 months of driving experience.
  • Have a Social Security card (original) and birth certificate (original).
  • Have a positive behavior record with no major incidents in the past 90 days.
  • Have a positive attendance and progress record.
  • Have health clearance from the Job Corps center where they received basic training.
  • Meet academic (math and reading) requirements.
